Kuu returns after a good while with two simultaneously released albums, "W FACE ~inside~" & "W FACE ~outside~". Both have a different theme and sound. This one is to reflect the inner side of her and contains mostly ballads and uptempo pop songs. BRIDGET SONG starts it off and is this sweet uptempo song which is just addicting. Also I love her whistling to it near the end of the song. Next is a song which she had been performing live in concert quite often but had never officially released before. BRING IT ON is an AMAZING party song that keeps you singing along to it nonstop while dancing like you've just gone crazy. The other party song on here is "What's Up" which gives me a somewhat oldies feeling, yet is still excellent. My favorite ballads on here are Yorokobi no Kakera and Promise you where you really hear Kuu's ballad vocals truly shine the most. Also this album includes the b-side of the "Shhh!" single, Kimi Omoi as well. The last track "My fun" was (at first) my least liked track. The song is about the enjoyment she has with her son as a mother and contains the sounds of Japanese children saying the song title in the background. I didn't take to this song right away to say the least but it certainly grew on me and I've come to greatly enjoy it almost as much as the other songs. The booklet contains all the lyrics, one song per page neatly organized. It also has some lovely pictures of the singer in a long white shirt and some other close ups where she's got studded diamond-like pieces on her hands and arms. The picture on the page for the "My fun" lyrics is extremely sexy as well. The slip case is nothing too overly special in my personal opinion, but I still enjoy it. I also received the poster with my copy which I plaque mounted and hung on my living room wall above the sofa. Lastly I'd like to mention that these two albums "inside" & "outside" set a new record for first week sales in Japan by a female solo artist. I definitely recommend picking up both albums!! Both of these masterpieces belong in every JPOP/POP lovers' collection.
