ベートーヴェン・フォー・スリー ～交響曲第4番&ピアノ三重奏曲第7番「大公」 [Blu-spec CD2] / ヨーヨー・マ、レオニダス・カヴァコス&エマニュエル・アックス
ヨーヨー・マ、エマニュエル・アックス、レオニダス・カヴァコスの3人が奏でるベートーヴェン ＜交響曲＞シリーズVol.3。名匠3人が初めてトリオとして共演したのは2014年タングルウッド音楽祭でブラームスのトリオを演奏したときに遡る。意気投合した3人はそれからほどなくアルバム『ブラームス: ピアノ三重奏曲集』(2017)を発表。再び2021年タングルウッド音楽祭で共演した彼らはベートーヴェン: 交響曲第2番のピアノ三重奏曲版を演奏。それがきっかけとなりベートーヴェンの交響曲の世界をピアノ・トリオで演奏する録音プロジェクト『ベートーヴェン・フォー・スリー』をスタートさせることとなった。シリーズ1作目『交響曲第2番&第5番「運命」』を2022年3月、2022年11月には第2作目『交響曲第6番「田園」&ピアノ三重奏曲第3番』をリリースしている。20世紀に名匠アイザック・スターンとの室内楽名盤を世に送り出したヨーヨー・マが21世紀に新たな盟友と創造するかつてない斬新なベートーヴェンの世界がここにある。
