The hugely popular original work - boasting over 200 million views for its digitally serialized edition and having surpassed 2.2 million copies in print - finally receives its long-awaited anime adaptation! Produced by iQiyi in China, the Japanese-dubbed version will begin TV broadcast on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, with a Blu-ray BOX release to follow. In the Japanese dub, Athanasia, the princess of the Obelia Empire determined to rewrite her tragic fate, is voiced by Sumire Morohoshi (Yuki Itose in A Sign of Affection). The cold and imposing emperor Claude is voiced by Tomoaki Maeno (Kunihiro Yamanbagiri in Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnoji). The handsome knight Felix is voiced by Ryohei Kimura (Kotaro Bokuto in Haikyu!!). The mysterious mage Lucas is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto (Himmel in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End). The erudite and gentle boy Ezekiel is voiced by Shuichiro Umeda (Hikaru in The Summer Hikaru Died). And the kind-hearted girl Jennette is voiced by Manaka Iwami (Akane Kurokawa in Oshi no Ko). With iQiyi's stunning animation and a star-studded voice cast combining both skill and popularity, the charm of the original story is brought vividly to life.
