The long awaited new album by Shintaro Sakamoto is released from zelone records. In the new work "Yahho", his first in about three and a half years, he develops a diverse sound incorporating blues mood kayou 60s soul surf instrumentals and funk while reflecting live experiences overseas in recent years. Furthermore, the lyrics captured from his unique perspective are truly one of a kind. The album consists of ten new tracks including the October digital single "Ojiisan e" and the November digital single "Anata no Basho wa Arimasu ka". As with the previous work, the recording centers on the members of the Shintaro Sakamoto band with drums by Yuta Suganuma, bass and chorus by AYA, and sax and flute by Toru Nishiuchi. 坂本慎太郎の待望のニューアルバムが＜zelone records＞から発売! 約3年半ぶりの新作『ヤッホー』では、ここ数年の海外でのライブ体験を反映させつつ、ブルース、ムード歌謡、60年代ソウル、サーフ・インスト、ファンクなどを取り入れた多彩なサウンドを展開。さらに今作も独自の視点で切り取った歌詞はまさに唯一無二。10月の配信シングル「おじいさんへ」、11月の配信シングル「あなたの場所はありますか?」を含む全10曲の新作アルバムが完成! 今回も前作同様、坂本慎太郎バンドのメンバーを中心にレコーディングされ、ドラムは菅沼雄太、ベース&コーラスはAYA、そしてサックス&フルートは西内徹。ゲストプレーヤーとして2曲にマリンバで角銅真実が参加。レコーディングエンジニア/マスタリングは中村宗一郎。アートワークは坂本慎太郎。
