実年齢を20歳以上詐称し、何億円ものお金を搾取した女は、自らを「エリカ」と名乗った。欲望の深みに堕ちるほど、女の本性が暴かれていく――。 2018年9月に他界した樹木希林が生前、自身初となる企画の下で製作された映画で、実在の事件をモチーフに、60歳を過ぎても38歳と偽って色香で男たちをだまし、最後は異国の地で逮捕された女の姿を描いた。 ――渡部聡子=自称エリカは、愛人である平澤育男の指示のもと、支援事業説明会という名目で人を集め、架空の投資話で大金を集めていた。しかし、平澤が複数の女と付き合い、自分を裏切っていることを知ったエリカは、平澤との連絡を絶ち、金持ちの老人をたらし込んで豪邸を手に入れた。老人ホームに入っていた母を呼び寄せ、今度は自ら架空の支援事業の説明会をおこない金を詐取していくエリカだったが・・・。 エリカ役は、45年ぶりの映画主演となる浅田美代子が務め、"ロンドン・イーストアジア映画祭2019"では日本人女性で初となる審査員特別賞を受賞。樹木は浅田の代表作になってほしいという思いから今作を企画し、自らもエリカの母役で出演している。監督は『健さん』『ブルー・バタフライ』の日比遊一。
