Was looking forward to an improved sounding version of this, Terence Boylan's self titled debut.. unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed with the mastering on this new SHM. Like the original cd release, it sounds muted and closed in, no improvement in sound quality.. likely, no new re-master here with this.. if you're looking for the best sounding cd of Terence Boylan, go with the Wounded Bird cd version, it blows this one away. The Wounded Bird cd has a superior opened up sound-stage with greater detail, and tighter and more pronounced drums and bass, the high end is opened up to breath.. Wounded Bird much better, not even close.. hope that helps the Terence Boylan fans out there.. peace.

Bought this on the basis of CD Japans new release list and referencing the people who played on the record and googling Terence Boylan. Top songwriting and superb performances from all concerned including Timothy Schmidt, Jim Gordon, Don Henley and others from the 1970's Californian country rock era. You will recognise the minor hit Shake It but all the tracks are first class sung sensitively and beautifully arranged. Cannot understand why this did not sell and why Boylan did not become another Jackson Browne! Get this while it is still available
