I remember very well when this classic was released, many zeppelin fans seemed a bit disapointed in this and of coarse i could see why way back then and even now 36 years on, it was a bit of an experiment for zeppelin at this time, the sythnths where brought in jimmy page was doing a lot of the production himself and they actually did score a couple of hits off this album especially fool in the rain ( the worst song on this record) anyway what this album lacked was the killer guitar solos fans where used to on every previous zeppelin record, hey this WAS A VERY DIFFERENT SOUNDING ZEPPELIN RECORD but with the intro on side one leading into how in the evening just expolodes was enough to sell me on this record when i first bought this in the summer of 79, many fans dont agree i understand that but this was a very important record in zeppelins 12 years together and of coarse the last to feature john bonham as he obviously passed away a year after this albums release, also the rough tracks and mixes on disc two are what most fans have wanted for years anyway......... very nice deluxe japanese digi pack with great inserts....
