Rush is one the most unique bands ever , maybe one of the greatest progressive bands ever. This album explores into a more modern synthesized sound.....but it's so excellent......unlike anything else was doing at the time. Jacob's Ladder is mind-blowing , the song flat out rocks from beginning to end....and Alex Lifeson's ever expanding and exploring guitar sounds is such a treat to listen to....the band as a whole is so tight.....with tight rythyms and ever expanding sounds and changing tempos. SHM-CD sound is fantastic , it really lets into the sound and the tone is so pleasant....it's a real joy to listen to. GO OUT AND GET THIS ALBUM!
Cd was mastered very low. Does not seem to have great clarity or depth. Quality of the inner sleeve is not very impressive. I will try one more of the new Rush SHM-cd's but this one (my favorite release by the way) was sadly lacking.
