This album was recorded in 1973 in Madison Square Garden for a three day concert for Led Zeppelin. It is a fantastic live album.
I first heard this album back when i was a teenager back in like 1982. I was stunned that Zeppelin was such an amazing live band , In '73 the band were pretty much at the height of their powers....everyone knows the story....and Zeppelin are still Gods! This whole live album is fantastic but it's still Disc 2 that gets me everytime.....Dazed and Confused was absolute live masterpiece by this time, with Page by 1973 constructing the piece into plethora of musical delights...breaking it up into like 12 different sections.....San Francisco , the bow solo, Mars, the Bringer of War and the call and response section with Plant etc... it sounds great and dynamic on SHM-CD i think! I even enjoy Bonzo's drum solo and Heartbreaker and of course Whole Lotta Love. The other thing is the Mini LP replica....Whew, fantastic job! It's perfectly faithful to the original LP. Beautiful release! Crank it up and Enjoy!
