トニー・ギャラのパワフルでソウルフルなヴォーカルが際立つNY出身のバンド、レイヴンの唯一のスタジオ作!! ヴァン・モリソン似のブルージーでソウルフルなトニー・ギャラのヴォーカルを看板に、67年のライヴ盤『ライヴ・アット・インフェルノ』でデビューしたNYバッファロー出身の5人組。本盤はグループ唯一のスタジオ・アルバム (69年/コロンビア)。ゲリー・マラバー (ドラムス)はのちにスティーヴ・ミラー・バンドをへてセッション・ミュージシャンとして活躍。ジミー・カリーレ (キーボード)はアメリカ (76年-80年)に参加、ちなみに彼の息子は元ワイルドフラワーズのマリオ・カリーレ。歌・演奏・楽曲、どれをとってもハイ・レベルで、60年代末期ニューヨークのアンダーグラウンドな雰囲気もたっぷりと味わえる好盤。生産限定紙ジャケット仕様。
