Kissin' Christmas (Christmas dakara jyanai) 2023 [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]

Keisuke Kuwata & Yumi Matsutoya to release new single! In 1986, the legendary music show "Merry Christmas Show" was planned with Keisuke Kuwata at the helm. The song "Kissin' Christmas (Not Because It's Christmas)" was written by Yumi Matsutoya and composed by Keisuke Kuwata for the show. In the winter of 2023, this song will be reborn as a new Christmas anthem with dreams and hopes lit by a newly recorded duet by Yumi and Kuwata, remaking the song with bold ideas while maintaining the worldview of the original. A portion of the proceeds from this album will be donated to Save the Children to protect the future and the lives of children.

仲良くしようよ!! ――聖なる夜に、すべての人の心へLOVE & PEACEを。桑田佳祐、松任谷由実。日本のポップスシーンを長年牽引し続けてきたふたりで急遽制作された「Kissin' Christmas (クリスマスだからじゃない) 2023」。ふたりの想いを体現する形で、本作から得られる収益の一部は、子どもたちの未来といのちを守るためにセーブ・ザ・チルドレンへ寄付される。 ◆1986年、桑田佳祐が中心となって企画された伝説の音楽番組・日本テレビ「メリー・クリスマス・ショー」。当時、番組のために制作された 作詞: 松任谷由実、作曲: 桑田佳祐による楽曲「Kissin' Christmas (クリスマスだからじゃない)」。この楽曲が、2023年冬、原曲の世界観はそのままに、大胆なアイデアで楽曲をリメイクし、桑田とユーミンのデュエット歌唱も新たにレコーディングされ、夢と希望の灯火宿る、新たなクリスマス・アンセムへと生まれ変わった。
