This release is part of the "Sugo! NIPPON JAZZ Masterpiece Selection Volume 1", focusing on Japanese jazz produced between the 1960s and 1980s that has attracted intense global attention as NIPPON JAZZ. From Ultra Vybe's rich catalog, this album is offered at a limited-time price. This debut album by Eiji Nakayama, a bass player from Sapporo, Hokkaido, was recorded at Jazz Kissa Johnny in 1978/2 before his move to Tokyo. The recording was realized after Akira Terui, impressed by the Eiji Nakayama Trio's successful 1977/9 live performance "Daichi o Hashirinukeru Kaze no Yoni" (which received four encores), strongly wished to preserve the trio's final performance before disbandment. Led by the widely known title track included in a BBE compilation, the album captures passionate sessions by young jazz musicians. SACD Hybrid.
