Description
On July 5, 2025, Ozzy Osbourne, known by the nickname "Prince of Darkness", performed one last time, both as a solo artist and as Black Sabbath, to express gratitude to the fans and say farewell.
Held at Villa Park in Birmingham, the birthplace of Sabbath, with Tom Morello as music director, this charity event brought together big names of the metal and rock world, including Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Anthrax, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and Tool, along with special guests such as Steven Tyler, Sammy Hagar, Nuno Bettencourt, Billy Corgan, and Ronnie Wood.
Ozzy passed away on July 22, 17 days after the event, which gave that day even greater significance for the metal and rock world.
At the climax of the event, Ozzy performed nine songs in total: five as a solo artist and four as Black Sabbath, whose original lineup, including Bill Ward, took the stage together again after 20 years. With a singing voice so powerful that it made everyone forget Ozzy's declining health, the performance thrilled the 44,000 spectators who packed the venue and the fans around the world who watched the live stream.
The video discs, containing three and a half hours of content, include highlights of the July 5 performances as well as video performances by special guests, such as Jack Black, who sang "Mr. Crowley", and Fred Durst, who performed "Changes".
Besides the main concert, a variety of bonus footage is included, such as behind-the-scenes footage, video tributes (including video messages from Dolly Parton, AC/DC, Ricky Gervais, and others), and the documentary "Sounds of Birmingham".
Limited to Japan. Japanese edition only: liner notes by Masanori Ito, lyrics and Japanese translations (for the CD tracks only), Blu-ray discs with Japanese subtitles, and a CD in SHM-CD format.
