To commemorate the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth in 2026, Wilhelm Backhaus's "Backhaus Mozart Recital" is being released for the first time in SHM-SACD format. This disc faithfully recreates the contents and coupling of the original LP released by Decca as SXL6301. For the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth, this release presents Backhaus's precious Mozart recordings from his later years anew with new remastering. Green-colored label coating. Uses the DSD master produced in 2026 by UK-based Ian Watson Audio Production from the original master. [Performers] Wilhelm Backhaus, piano. Recorded from September to November 1961, No. 10, No. 12, and Rondo; and in November 1966, No. 4 and No. 5.
