[フレデリック・フェネル・メモリアル・エディション] 2004年12月7日にフレデリック・フェネル博士が逝去した。フェネル氏は1914年クリーヴランドで生まれ、イーストマン音楽学校を卒業後、有名なイーストマン・ウィンド・アンサンブルを結成し、多くの作曲家に吹奏楽のための優れた作品を依頼、活発な演奏・レコーディング活動をとおして、吹奏楽の向上・発展に尽力した。フェンル博士の追悼盤として、彼の全盛期といえるイーストマン・ウインド・アンサンブルとの1950年代の録音から全14枚とテラーク・レーベルから発売となったSACD1点をあわせて発売。録音: 1959年10月 USA
