Richter (1915.3.20-1997.8.1), considered the greatest pianist of the 20th century, couples three small sonatas in two movements with his important work "Passion" Sonata, which he said, "I cannot imagine an encore at the end of the program or after this. The first and third movements of the "Passion" sonata are dynamically constructed with stormy intensity, while the second movement is a penetrating and peaceful lyricism. Recorded live in Amsterdam, October 1992
