[デッカ・ベスト100 DECCA BEST 100] デッカ、旧フィリップスの膨大なカタログから名演・名盤をセレクト。オリジナル・ジャケットを生かしたデザイン。ジプシーの旋律を用いたサラサーテの傑作《ツィゴイネルワイゼン》と、ビゼーのオペラの有名な旋律による《カルメン幻想曲》。スラヴ的な色彩が濃厚な、仄暗い曲想のドヴォルザークのヴァイオリン協奏曲。19世紀の南欧と東欧のヴァイオリンの名作を収録した一枚。ストラデヴァリウスの銘器「ドルフィン」を用いた諏訪内晶子の演奏は、シャープな音を駆使して超絶技巧を存分に発揮し、同時に抒情性や哀感も見事に表出している。
