This work features a live recording of Wieniawski's "Violin Concerto No. 1" performed at a subscription concert of the Berlin Philharmonic in March 2025. It was a memorable concert in which, having made her debut with the world's foremost orchestra at the age of 13 years and 8 months, under the baton of Sebastian Weigle, she drew great attention with her outstanding technique and deep musicality. In the latter half of the album, Chopin's "Nocturne" -- Chopin being likewise a composer representative of Poland -- is included in celebrated arrangements by Heifetz and Milstein. Furthermore, the album contains a variety of short pieces performed together with pianist Chelsea Wang, including the Fantaisie brillante on themes from "Faust" by Wieniawski, the renowned Polish violinist and composer who was active in the same era as Chopin, as well as Godowsky's "Alt Wien" and Sibelius's "Mazurka." In this work, for Wieniawski's "Violin Concerto No. 1" she uses the 1717 Stradivarius "Hamma," and for the other works performed with Chelsea Wang she uses the 1732 Guarneri del Gesu "Ferni." The fact that one can enjoy the charm of different fine instruments in each work is also a major highlight. HIMARI is currently enrolled at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, USA, studying under Ida Kavafian. Traveling back and forth between Japan and abroad, she has repeatedly performed with the world's leading orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. In addition, in April 2027 she is set to appear as a soloist at a subscription concert of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (conductor: Andris Nelsons) at "Stern Auditorium," the main hall of Carnegie Hall in New York. *Since this product goes on sale on a Friday, delivery will be on or after the release date. 今作は、2025年3月にベルリン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の定期公演で演奏されたヴィエニャフスキ《ヴァイオリン協奏曲 第1番》のライヴ録音を収録。これは、13歳8ヵ月で世界最高峰のオーケストラにデビューし、セバスティアン・ヴァイグレ指揮のもと、卓越した技巧と深い音楽性で大きな注目を集めた記念すべき公演。アルバム後半では、同じくポーランドを代表する作曲家ショパンの《夜想曲》を、ハイフェッツとミルシテインによる名編曲で収録。さらに、ショパンと同時代に活躍したポーランドの名ヴァイオリニスト・作曲家ヴィエニャフスキによる《ファウスト》の主題による華麗なる幻想曲をはじめ、ゴドフスキーの〈古きウィーン〉、シベリウスの〈マズルカ〉など、ピアニストのチェルシー・ワンとの共演による多彩な小品が収められている。なお、今作では、ヴィエニャフスキ《ヴァイオリン協奏曲第1番》において1717年製ストラディヴァリウス「Hamma」を、それ以外のチェルシー・ワンとの共演による作品では1732年製グァルネリ・デル・ジェズ「Ferni」を使用。それぞれの作品で異なる名器の魅力を味わえる点も、大きな聴きどころとなっている。現在、HIMARIはアメリカ・フィラデルフィアのカーティス音楽院に在籍し、アイダ・カヴァフィアンに師事。国内外を行き来しながら、シカゴ交響楽団、フィラデルフィア管弦楽団、ロンドン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、NHK交響楽団など、世界の主要オーケストラとの共演を重ねている。また、2027年4月には、ニューヨーク・カーネギーホールのメインホール「スターン・オーディトリアム」において、ボストン交響楽団 (指揮: アンドリス・ネルソンス)の定期公演にソリストとして出演することも決定している。 ※本商品は金曜販売開始商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
