BOUQUET

A Bouquet of Songs from Kaya. Kaya's conceptual album "BOUQUET" includes six tracks, each with its own unique style. The song "Ningyo no Waltz," which paints a bittersweet love story with a touch of comedy and nostalgia, marks her third collaboration with singer-songwriter Amano Tsuki. Two new ballads have been written for this release: "powder snow," an adult winter ballad with a cool jazz arrangement by pianist Tyack Sawahata, and "Anata ga Inai Sekai," composed by pianist MAO. Additionally, the album includes an acoustic cover of Chihiro Onitsuka's hit "King of Solitude" from her album "Sugar High," as well as a cover of Modern Choki Chokies' classic "Kori no Nashi," arranged by Kazutoshi Yokoyama, known for his work with BUCK-TICK and as an arranger and manipulator. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fubuki Koshiji's birth in 2024, Kaya has also included a new recording of her iconic live chanson performance, "Ai no Sanka," with lyrics translated by Tokiko Iwatani.

Kayaが贈る歌の花束── Kayaコンセプトアルバム『BOUQUET』(ブーケ)発売! 性別やジャンルの壁を歌とドレスであざやかに飛び越えるソロシンガーKayaが、タイプの異なる6曲を収録したコンセプトアルバム『BOUQUET』をリリース。切ない恋心をどこかコミカルかつノスタルジックに綴った「人魚のワルツ」は、今回で3回目となるシンガーソングライター天野月とのコラボ曲。ピアニストちゃっく澤幡によるクールなジャズアレンジの大人の冬バラード「powder snow」と、ピアニストMAO作曲のバラード「あなたがいない世界」は今回のための書き下ろし新曲。そして鬼束ちひろの大ヒットアルバム『Sugar High』収録「King of Solitude」をアコースティックアレンジでカヴァーするほか、モダンチョキチョキズの名曲「凍りの梨」をBUCK-TICKなどのアレンジ、マニピュレーターを務める横山和俊氏アレンジでカヴァーする。また2024年越路吹雪生誕100周年を記念し、Kayaがライブで必ず歌う不動のシャンソン「愛の讃歌」を岩谷時子訳詞バージョンで新たに収録。秋から冬の時季にピッタリな大人の魅力溢れる作品。
