This mini-album is a combination of the overwhelming singing ability of Hoshimachi Suisei and the conceptual sounds of TAKU INOUE, which fully expand the world view of Midnight Grand Orchestra. ボーカルの星街すいせいと、サウンドプロデューサーTAKU INOUEからなるMidnight Grand Orchestraが初となるパッケージMINI ALBUM『Overture』をリリース。ミュージカルのような神々しさと重厚感が混ざり合う「Never Ending Midnights」、星街すいせい専用のキーアイテム"アレグロ"が楽曲タイトルにもなっている疾走感溢れる「Allegro」、4月13日に1st Singleとしてリリースしたスペースソング「SOS」、思わずフロアで踊り出したくなるようなディスコチューン「Rat A Tat」、切なさと儚さが共存するミッドナイトミドルチューン「流星群」、宇宙の旅路を後押しするポップチューン「Highway」を収録。星街すいせいが織りなす圧倒的な歌唱力に、TAKU INOUEのコンセプチュアルなサウンドメイクが加わったことで、Midnight Grand Orchestraの世界観を存分に拡張したEPが仕上がった。パンチがデザインしたhmng描き下ろしイラストを用いたJKTデザインを使用した限定Tシャツが付属される豪華仕様。[完全生産限定盤(hmng Ver.)]は、OvertureオリジナルTシャツ[illustration: hmng ver]同梱。
