1978年パリ。エレクトロ・ミュージックの世界的な人気爆発前夜。未来の音楽は、すぐそこに―! 新しい音をつかもうと手を伸ばす、主演アルマ・ホドロフスキーの魅力が弾ける、青春音楽映画が誕生! 監督は音楽ユニット「ヌーヴェル・ヴァーグ」の活動で、日本でも人気のマーク・コリン。――1978年、パリ。若手ミュージシャンのアナは、部屋ごと貸してもらったシンセサイザーで、依頼されたCMの作曲にとりかかっていたものの、納得のいく曲が書けずにいた。すでにプロデューサーと約束した締め切りは過ぎ、明日の朝クライアントに提出しなければならない担当者は、何度も急かしにやって来る。なのに、シンセサイザーの機材が壊れ、修理を呼ぶ羽目に。しかし、修理に来た技術者が持っていた日本製のリズムマシン (ROLAND CR-78) に魅せられたアナは、「これがあれば、ものすごい曲を作れる」と頼み込んで貸してもらう。そこへCM曲の収録用に依頼されていた歌手のクララが現れ、話しているうちにアイデアが浮かんだ2人は即興で曲を作り始めた。果たして、大物プロデューサーも参加するはずの今夜のパーティまでに、アナは未来の音楽を完成させることができるのか―。
