More great Eureka seveN music 5

Just like the first OST, also this one is made up by 2 CDs full of music from Naoki Sato, along with some tracks by audio active, Takkyu Ishino, Ko Kimura, Denki Groove and others. Also, like the first OST, it contains OPs and EDs to the anime: while the first OST had the 1st and 2nd OP/ED, this OST has the 3rd and 4th OP/ED. Differently from the first CD, the 2nd CD is full of techno music, and i must say good techno music!

Not as good as the first one 3

The second OST of Eureka Seven features the same eclectic mix of rock('sakura' being the highlight), techno, weirdness('Time-lines') and neoclassical orchestra that still works like a charm. The second disc has most of the techno tracks, and it does get quite tiresome to listen back-to-back due to lack of variety despite some completely awesome pieces like 'White Tiger No 24', 'draft any funk' and 'L.F.O'. It would've helped greatly if the bonus tracks(among them a hiphop track with hilarious Cypress Hill-like percussion) had been put between the long techno pieces. The best orchestra track is the awe-inspiring 'Saigo no kibou', that was probably greatly inspired by the finest compositions of well-known film score composers like Hans Zimmer and Basil Poledouris. No doubt the absolute highlight of the soundtrack is the concluding song of the first disc, Denki Groove's Niji, which is a nearly 11 minute long beautiful opus full of psychedelic excess that very much sums up the optimistic nature of the entire series.
