1982年3月21日に大滝詠一の主催する≪ナイアガラレーベル≫から発表されたアルバム『NIAGARA TRIANGLE Vol.2』の発売40周年を記念してリリースされる『NIAGARA TRIANGLE Vol.2 40th Anniversary Edition』の通常盤。大滝詠一の構想のもと、当時大きな注目を集めていた佐野元春と杉真理に参加を要請し制作された本作は、シングル「A面で恋をして」がスマッシュヒットを記録。40年を経た現代でもCity Popの代表作として高く評価されている。本作はCD2枚組になっており、Disc-1はオリジナルアルバムの最新マスタリング音源を収録。Disc-2は秘蔵音源を収録したボーナスディスク付き。
