[AOR CITY ON VINYL (3)] AOR誕生40周年を記念して2016年と2017年の2回に分けて全198タイトルの作品をリリースした"AOR CITY"シリーズ。今回は70年代の作品にフォーカスして、LPで再発。LPのオビには人気イラストレーター: 永井博のイラストを使用。 60年代、オーティス・レディング、アレサ・フランクリンらの名演を支え、自身も「グリーン・オニオン」の全米No.1ヒットを持つオルガン奏者/プロデューサーのブッカー・T・ジョーンズ。1974年発表の本作からはメンフィスから西海岸に拠点を移しレイドバックしたムードが伝わってくる、まさに“エヴァーグリーン”な名盤。日本でもハナレグミをはじめ多くのカバーが生まれた「ジャマイカ・ソング」を筆頭にアーシーで心癒される楽曲群の中で、ソウルフルで豪快なオルガン・プレイも健在。デヴィッド・T・ウォーカー(g)、ジム・ケルトナー(ds)ら精鋭が脇を固めている。 ●1974年作品 ●ソニーミュージック・スタジオでカッティング、国内グループ工場で製造 ●解説・歌詞・対訳付き
