[初来日記念 ジョニー・ウィンター 紙ジャケット・コレクション Columbia] コロンビアからの2作目は、前作から僅か4か月という短いインターバルで発売。後にライヴの代表的なレパートリーになった小気味良いロックンロールM-6(チャック・ベリーのカバー)や、スライド・ギターが炸裂するM-7(ボブ・ディランのカバー)など人気曲が並ぶ。弟のエドガーも全面的に参加し、前作に比べロック色が強まっている。オリジナルLPは、2枚組3面(Side-4には音が刻まれていない)という変則な仕様だったが、もともとは1枚に収めるつもりで多めに録音した楽曲をすべて収録したためといわれている。1969年作品。 ■紙ジャケット仕様、国内LP帯を復刻、最新リマスタリング。書き下ろし解説・歌詞対訳付き。全タイトル購入応募特典(特製コレクション・ボックス)あり。
