[初来日記念 ジョニー・ウィンター 紙ジャケット・コレクション Columbia] 地元のテキサスのクラブ・サーキットで頭角を現していたジョニー・ウィンターが、1968年、有力な音楽誌「ローリングストーン」で紹介されたことをきっかけに、レコード会社の争奪戦となる。その結果、「100万ドル」ともいわれる高額な契約金でコロンビアと契約し、1969年にこのメジャー・デビュー盤を発売した。このアルバムを発売直後にはウッドストック・フェスにも出演しさらに知名度を拡げた。本作は、シンプルなトリオ編成で録音。B.B.キングやロバート・ジョンソン、ライトニング・ホプキンスらのカバーを交え、後の華やかな作品と比べると、ストレートでシブいブルース・アルバムに仕上がっている。1969年作品。従来のボーナス・トラックM-10、M-11、M-12に加え、新たにボーナス・トラックを追加収録予定。 ■紙ジャケット仕様、国内LP帯を復刻、最新リマスタリング。書き下ろし解説・歌詞対訳付き。全タイトル購入応募特典(特製コレクション・ボックス)あり。
