[EW&Fデビュー40周年/ラムゼイ・ルイス JAZZ FUNK YEARS] 2011年リマスタリング。書き下ろし解説付き。世紀の傑作『キー・オブ・ライフ』を発表した直後、絶頂期ともいえる時期のスティーヴィー・ワンダーが2曲を書き下ろし、レコーディングにも参加! オープニングを飾る「Spring High」は、いかにもスティーヴィーな可愛らしいメロディが印象的。ラムゼイのピアノに、スティーヴィーのシンセサイザーが絡み合う。「Love Notes」も、歌詞を付けたらそのまま歌えそうなキャッチーなナンバー。その他の楽曲はラムゼイのレギュラー・バンドを中心に展開。「Love Theme From "A Star Is Born"(Evergreen)」は、当時バーブラ・ストライサンドが歌い全米1位を獲得したナンバーをスロー・ファンクに仕上げている。また本作は前作『サロンゴ』のレコーディング直後に急逝したプロデューサー、チャールズ・ステップニーに捧げられている。(1977年作品)
