Boz Scaggs began his musical career in the 1960s and had been steadily gaining recognition, and this seventh album helped make his name known worldwide. It reached No.2 on the US album chart. Featuring smooth and sophisticated performances by skilled musicians such as Jeff Porcaro on drums and David Paich on piano, who would later debut as TOTO, together with Boz's smoky, soulful vocals, it helped bring the adult contemporary genre into the mainstream. Includes the hit "Lowdown" (US No.3) and Boz's signature ballad "We're All Alone." This Japan-only edition uses a hybrid disc with an SACD stereo layer and a CD stereo layer. Produced based on the 2023 remastered audio. 7-inch cardboard sleeve packaging faithfully reproduces the original LP artwork and comes with an obi strip (replica of the original Japanese edition). Also includes a reproduction jacket of the EP single cut from the album. Comes with newly written liner notes, lyrics, and Japanese translations.
