元ドレスデン・シュターツカペレの首席チェリストで、現在はソリストとして活躍するヤン・フォーグラーが主宰する室内楽音楽祭「モーリッツブルク音楽祭」は、毎年8月にドレスデン近郊のモーリッツブルク城で行われる音楽祭。本作は昨年の同音楽祭の際に録音されたモーツァルトの室内楽作品集。有名な弦楽トリオのためのディヴェルティメントと、有名なオペラ「フィガロの結婚」の中の序曲や誰もが知っているアリアを弦楽四重奏にアレンジした「フィガロの結婚」組曲(編曲者不明の楽譜を、フォーグラーが再構成したヴァージョン)というカップリングはモーツァルトイヤーの今年、話題を呼ぶこと必至。参加メンバーも実力派揃い。ソリストとして活躍するベンヤミン・シュミット、ヨーヨー・マでお馴染みのシルクロード・アンサンブルにも参加するコリン・ジェイコブソンなど、豪華なメンバーによる親密な室内楽が楽しめる1枚。来日記念盤。
