"未来の鍵を握るラジオ"「SCHOOL OF LOCK!」と、"未来の鍵を探すレコード会社"「Sony Music」、"未来の鍵を繋ぐ携帯"「au by KDDI」とのコラボレーションにより決行された、10代限定のTEENAGE LOCK FES『閃光ライオット』。2009年8月8日東京ビッグサイト西棟屋上特設ステージにて決行されたこの奇跡の夏フェスには、全国5500通の応募を勝ち抜いたファイナリスト14組が終結。今年で2回目となるこのイベントは、昨年にも増してバラエティに富んだアーティストが出場し、そのハイレベルな楽曲・パフォーマンスが話題を呼び、彼らの曲を着うた配信した結果、なんとデモ音源にも関わらず開催前に20万ダウンロードを突破! 当日会場には全国から駆けつけた約10,000人を超える (昨年比2倍)のリスナーが集結し、大いに盛り上がりを見せた。そんな10代の閃光を放つファイナリスト14組の、着うたで好評を博した楽曲をリレコーディングして一枚に集約。間違いなく日本音楽史を揺るがすであろう"未来の才能"が詰まった一枚。
