Sakura Tears [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]

With Sakura tears nearly everything is just as it ought to be. I cannot comment on the lyrics hence I do not speak Japanese, but from the added video-clip one gets a good idea what the song is about. The song feature a nice melody, neither frantic nor boring - the arrangement is really good. And John-Hoon sings this song extremely well. What I like about him most is that he cannot be easily labeled. It is a blend of Pop and Jazz - with a touch of Soul - that give his performances the extra value. So far I have seen three of his video-clips and every one of them was very well composed, always telling a story, painted like a beautiful picture. This one is no exception. Even the colors fit perfectly. Also the technical aspects of this release are top - the clip is presented in anamorphic widescreen, not just - like many of other companies releases - in letterboxed 4:3. The only thing missing - I cannot stop repeating this for international fans of Japanese music and movies - English subtitles. Altogether a brilliant release, worth every yen you pay for it. I`m looking forward to the next one!
