DVD第5巻。 ロボットアニメの魅力を知り尽くしたスタッフが集結! 監督には、「超重神グラヴィオンZ」「劇場版餓狼伝説」の大張正己。ストーリーコンストラクション・脚本には、「戦国魔神ゴーショーグン」「ポケットモンスター」を手がけた首藤剛志と「マジカノ」の三井秀樹。キャラクターデザインには「セーラームーン」「ぷちぷり＊ユーシィ」のKAZZ、ダンクーガコンセプトデザインには、「スーパー戦隊」シリーズ「コン・バトラーV」の村上克司、メカニックデザインは、大張正己と中北晃ニというメンバーで構成。そして、アニメーション制作は葦プロダクション。 ――22世紀、世界を巻き込んだ大戦こそ起こっていなかったが、局地的な民族間の紛争、戦乱は絶え間なく続いていた。が、その戦いが一方的な勝利に終わりそうになった時に現れる謎の救世主がいた。それが「ダンクーガ ノヴァ」。その圧倒的なパワーで負けそうな勢力に加勢し、均衡を保つと去っていく。パイロットに選ばれたのはレースドライバーの飛鷹葵、麻薬捜査官の館華くらら、自由人(フリーマン)の加門朔哉、サラリーマンのジョニー・バーネット。彼らは訳もわからぬまま、戦乱に巻き込まれていく。だが、「ダンクーガ ノヴァ」のその行動の裏には本当の目的が隠されていた。それが明らかになった時、世界は新たな次元を迎える――!! 2話収録。MISSION.9は未放送カットを収録した特別編。リバーシブルジャケット仕様。
