Description

This touching fantasy depicting the friendship between a boy and a kappa, an ancient Japanese legend, has been digitally remastered with HD telecine under the supervision of Tatsuya Ishii, and finally released on DVD for the first time! Yuta Suzumori ( Tatsuya Fuji ), a world-renowned news photographer, begins to tell his secret to his son, Isamu ( Ryuji Harada ), whom he meets again after 10 years at his hospital bed after falling ill. Isamu is unable to forgive Suzumori for abandoning him and refuses to listen to what he has to say. Suzumori's body was deteriorating. He had only a few hours left to live. Forty years ago, eight-year-old Yuta (Keisuke Funakoshi) and his father (Takanori Jinnai) lived in a swamp in their hometown of Kitagawa Village, and the mysterious event he experienced is about to be revived from beyond his memory.
