Description

ひとは誰かと出会うために生きている。らしい。ハワイ島の北、忘れられた町ホノカア。僕が出会った風と、恋と、ごはん。同じ世界とは思えないハワイ島の美しい風景のなかで、涙がきっととまらなくなる。 主人公レオ役に、本作が映画初主演になる注目の若手人気実力派俳優、岡田将生。そして、素直でイタズラばかりする日系のおばあさんビーに、あの倍賞千恵子。そのほか、食いしん坊でかわいくてたまらないエデリに、松坂慶子。レオが恋心を抱くロコの女の子マライアに、ハワイ島育ちの長谷川潤。そして、喜味こいし、正司照枝、蒼井優、深津絵里、など豪華キャストがこのホノカアを、はじめてなのになつかしい不思議な町にする。 他人との距離がうまくとれないレオ (岡田将生)は、彼女 (蒼井優)に言われるままにハワイ島に旅行にくる。夜かかる月の虹がみたい。そう言ったのは彼女のほうだった。「ハワイ島とハワイってちがうんですけど。」不機嫌な彼女と無口なレオ。ギクシャクした旅。都合悪くなるとすぐ黙る。レオの悪いところ。半年後、レオはその旅の途中で出会ったホノカアで暮らしていた。人生がなにがどうなるかわからない。ホノカアの映画館で映写技師の助手をしながら。そんなある日、レオは町で一番有名ないたずらヘンクツばあさんに出会う。ビー (倍賞千恵子)との出会いはちょっとした事件だった。「明日から毎日ここで晩御飯たべていきなさい」。そのひとこがすべての始まりだった。ビーはレオの存在がうれしかった。おいしそうにゴハンを食べる男の子。猫以外に突然現れた家族のような存在。毎日のゴハンはふたりにしかわからない言葉のようで。優しい毎日は、ビーをかわいくした。素直にした。そんなある日。レオは恋をする。よく笑う女の子マライア (長谷川潤)。マライアの存在が、やがて事件をひきおこすなんて思いもしないで――。
