Erkki-Sven Tuur: Illuminatio, Whistles and Whispers from Uluru, Symphony No.8

[Machine Translation] Estonian-born composer Sven Toor is known for his stimulating "fusion of classical and progressive rock," including nine symphonies and a vocal piece. Having led the rock group "In Spe" in his youth, he is known for his exciting "fusion of classical and progressive rock" works, including nine symphonies and a vocal piece. On this album, you will hear a viola concerto with London-born viola player Lawrence Power as soloist, a recorder concerto with Genevieve Lacy, another renowned recorder player, and Symphony No. 8, composed in 2010. The Recorder Concerto, inspired by the writing hut on his native island of Heeumaa, and the Viola Concerto, with its mysterious atmosphere, are two of Toure's most popular compositions. In these two pieces, Toole's music is constantly changing and developing, and his relationship with the soloists is deepening. The "Symphony" for small orchestra is another piece of Toure's genre-borderless music.
