Berg: Wozzeck

[Machine Translation] Wozzeck" by Sebastian Weigle, who will become the 10th Permanent Conductor of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in April 2019, was completed after 8 years of planning by Berg, who saw the play "Wozzeck" in 1914. It is one of the greatest operas of the 20th century, with a total of 15 scenes in three acts of five scenes each, each given a different form, and with a meticulously calculated musical score. In 2006, Weigle performed "Wozzeck" at the Liceu Opera House, which was filmed (OPUS ARTE OA0985), and the performance with excellent singers such as Havrata and Denoke and a high-level orchestra was much talked about. This 2016 performance is even more masterful, with a sharp and stimulating interpretation that shows Weigle's own 10 years of maturation and the use of ideal singers. 2019年4月より読売日本交響楽団の第10代常任指揮者に就任する事が決まったセバスティアン・ヴァイグレによる「ヴォツェック」。1914年に戯曲「ヴォイツェック」を観たベルクが構想期間8年を経て完成させたこの歌劇は、生々しい人間性搾取をテーマに5場×3幕の全15場、各々に異なる形式を与えるという、精緻で計算され尽くした音楽がつけられた、20世紀歌劇の最高傑作の一つ。ヴァイグレは2006年にリセウ歌劇場で「ヴォツェック」を演奏、こちらが映像化されており (OPUS ARTE OA0985)、ハヴラタ、デノケと言った素晴らしい歌手と、レヴェルの高いオーケストラの演奏が話題となった。今回の2016年の演奏は、ヴァイグレ自身の10年間の熟成を感じさせる鋭く刺激的な解釈と、理想的な歌手たちを起用したことで、一層の名演が紡ぎ出されている。 [演奏] 指揮: セバスティアン・ヴァイグレ、アンサンブル: フランクフルト歌劇場管弦楽団、演奏者: アウドゥン・イヴェルセン、ヴィンセント・ヴォルフシュタイナー
