Description
[Machine Translation] In the spring of 2010, a work by Russian composer Evgeny Gunst ( 1877-1950 ) was discovered in the basement of the Musicology Seminar Room at the University of Basel. This composer, now largely forgotten, was a highly regarded artist in several respects during his time and a major influence on pre-revolutionary Russian music. He was a close associate of Scriabin, and after the revolution, he went into exile in Paris via Estonia in 1920. There he died a lonely life. His autograph scores are very meticulously written, but the sounds that emerge from them are unique and unlike anything we have ever heard before, creating a mysterious atmosphere that is different from that of his predecessors, Metoner and Scriabin.
Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
