The three side musicians are Steve Gadd (drums), Willie Weeks (bass), and Chris Stainton (keyboards), all of whom are familiar with Clapton's albums. The notable guest musicians include Paul McCartney (bass & vocals: #6), who performed with Clapton on his 2012 album "Kiss on the Bottom," 80's disco queen Chaka Khan (back vocals: #4), and the second guest on Clapton's previous album (2010), J.J. Cale (back-up vocals & guitar: #2), Steve Winwood (Hammond B3 organ: #8), and Jim Keltner (drums: #12), all of whom have participated on this album.
