Maki-e is a technique representative of lacquer art uniquely developed by Japan and has been practiced since the Nara period about 1200 years ago.

Gray squirrel powder brush. Jumbo size yet reasonably priced. Carefully selected gray squirrel bristles are used. When using loose powder as a finishing touch, gray squirrel bristles are the best at holding and releasing the powder, so you can expect even and seamless coloring. This is why it is called the "king" of powder brushes. We recommend that you use the round flat bristles in a back-and-forth motion if possible. Please do not hold the tip of the bristles down too tightly against your skin. Please enjoy the blissful time with this brush.
