Only good for less pigmented, hard pressed blush. I have soft pressed, pigmented blush, which doesn't work well with this brush. It's soft and dense, applies blush very precisely, blends well. I plan to get some less pigmented blush and use this brush.
T-4 Cheek Brush / Chikuhodo Takumi Series / Goat Saikoho Customer Reviews
Makeup Brush
The brush is great, but I expected to like it a little more. To me, it's a little too soft to be used for blush. I think it would work a little better for applying powder. The hair is super soft the shape is great, but I wish it was a little denser.
The Takumi series is Chikuhodo's premium saikoho hair variety of goat bristle brushes. I bought them mainly for cream products as goat hair is generally more robust than squirrel hair. Hence, they are the very best quality of brushes you can get (sokoho, the creme de la creme of goat brushes cost a lot more) for a (still) affordable price. In my opinion, the brush does a good job of diffusely applying a cream blush or other cream product and due to its build quality, it gives more resistance than squirrel haired brushes which makes it ideal for buffing motions. The round head of the brush is ideal for circular motions for blush placement on the cheek. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for the softest goat hair and rounded shape blush brush good enough to also apply bronzer and setting face powder, this is a great option. I wish handle was longer and heavier, but i love the design and that my finger prints will not be so visable in the handle of the brush.
