Description

[Machine Translation] A luxury box set with 609 minutes of total recording time, including a historical video documentary on the great tenors of the first half of the 20th century and bel canto singing, and two bonus CDs! The 1920s and 1930s ushered in the era of talkies, and great tenors such as Benyamino Zilli, Richard Tauber, and Lauritz Melchior became movie stars. With them, numerous "singer films" were made, as well as numerous documentaries and private films of their singing. By reprinting many of these rare materials, a series of 13 documentaries was produced in 1996, ranging from Enrico Caruso to Jussi Bjorling. This "Bel Canto" box set is a reissue of the series and includes many extras. One of these extras is the accompanying booklet, which contains a deeply enlightening and extensive discussion of bel canto singing. Bel Canto" - Tenors of the SP era - has been broadcast on television in 13 countries. It was awarded a prize at the Columbia International Film Festival and the Louvre Classics Film Exhibition. Japanese commentary by Kotaro Yamazaki. 2 Blu-ray discs + 1 bonus DVD + 2 CDs.
