The film is produced by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, who directed "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Airbender," the latest in the world-famous "Pirates of the Caribbean" series. The film, directed by the up-and-coming Scandinavian director Peter Flint, brings out the best in the young cast, who have little acting experience, and presents a fresh depiction of a boy's summer story colored by first love, friendship, and music.
