イタリアの作曲家による「フォリア」100年の旅。かつてヨーロッパで一世を風靡した旋律「フォリア」。15世紀末ポルトガルが起源といわれる作者不詳のこの名旋律は伝播していき、様々な作曲家の作品に取り入れられた。本アルバムではイタリアの作曲家に焦点を絞り「フォリア」の変遷をたどる。フレスコバルディ→コレルリ→スカルラッティ→ヴィヴァルディと時代が進むにつれ、旋律は複雑な変奏曲へ、編成は大きくなり、やがてジェミニアーニ (1687-1762)では『コンチェルト・グロッソ』の大輪の花を咲かせる。屈指のチェンバロ奏者中野振一郎と、コレギウム・ムジクム・テレマンの親和性高いアンサンブルが、作品の世界を瑞々しく色彩豊かに表現していく。リマスター盤。
