Description

[Machine Translation] Vladimir Jurowski has been the principal conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra since 2007. This double album is his 29th release for the LPO label and his first recording of Richard Strauss' works with the orchestra. [CD 1 contains the descriptive "Alpine Symphony," with its grandiose scenes. [CD 2 contains excerpts from the opera "Shadowless Woman. Here Jurovski is not performing the composer's own "Symphonic Fantasy," but rather orchestral highlights from the complete opera. Jurovsky performed the entire "The Shadowless Woman" at the Metropolitan Opera in 2013, and he has a strong empathy for the work. In "Dance of the Seven Veils," performed at the opening concert of the London Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013, he showed a sensual scene with a delicate performance.
Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
