NEWS's 16th album is the first chapter in a new album trilogy leading up to the group's 25th anniversary. The first chapter, "KMK," of the project titled "NEWS 25th ANNIVERSARY TRILOGY - WE ARE NEWS -" depicts the "present." Born from the names Koyama, Masuda, and Kato, the word "KMK" is the key that opens the door to NEWS's own story, which is about to begin, and serves as its "opening note." Starting with "KMK" and "The boys rock you all!," the album features songs that spotlight each of the three members, along with musical-style, rock, city pop, summer song, and ballad numbers. It is packed with the latest sounds that capture NEWS as they are now. The voices they have built up. The sounds they have continued to challenge themselves with. The words they have continued to sing. All of these are poured into this album.
