Riot Girl

Everybody who is anybody knows of Aya Hirano and her rise to fame from the awesome anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" Playing Haruhi in the J-Dub. Also having her songs featured in the show. I bought Riot Girl purely on the fact that I reckon she is an awesome singer and her music really hit me in a big way. It was just so great, really fun and depth filled. The "main" reason I even liked TMOHS was based on Aya Hirano and her fab singing. For a debut album. Its solid. really fun, positive, energetic through the roof and did I mention fun? Even from the really colourful album cover you already know what your in for with Aya. Fun times and really positive energy. production is top notch greatness. Everything was planned to perfection. the hyper mode that is scattered through out this CD, the depth in some of her other songs. (which creates a wonderful thing called variety) Its loud, its proud and its really really fun. I love to have fun myself and I am glad Aya sees that as well. Vocally she is just fine. She can reach a good range in her deeper songs, is all over the place in her fun songs (in a good way) and is always focused and her voice doesn't crack once. I just love her dedication and patience towards her CD processing. She is a true artist. Knows what she wants and how to get it. Done effectively and with precision of course! All the songs are wonderfully super cool. But my favourites are "MonStAR", "Love Gun", "Riot Girl", "Bouken Desho Desho?", "NEOPHILIA", "Harmonia vita", "Breakthrough", "For you" and "Maybe I can't good-bye" Aya Hirano will sell millions of records, I don't doubt that for a second. But unlike most artists that do this, she is one of the very few that deserve what riches she gets. I love Aya Hirano and her music. I wish her all the best. She makes me proud to be a fan and also an admirer of Japanese music. You go girlfriend! You will rock the world many times over with your music and I look forward to seeing that happen. 5 Stars

A very Good first Album of Aya Hirano with in particular the song MonStAR which is excellent! Bouken Desho Desho? Is Magnificent also!

I received this album for Christmas, and i'm in love with it already! In fact, i'm playing it right now! Hehe :D It's utterly brilliant ;D CDJapan also included a little bit of card/paper saying seasons greetings, and i think that's really nice :] so thanks CDJapan! My favourite songs are RIOT GIRL, LOVEGUN, NEOPHILIA, HERO, Aimai Scream, and i loved the fact that 'Bouken desho desho?' is on the album too, as i love the anime series The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya! I love all of the songs, but they are my favourites i reckon ;D Definitely buy this if you're a fan of Aya's I say :D
