SACDハイブリッド盤。「候妃よ、いま一条の光を」は、ザクセン選帝侯アウグスト1世夫人のための追悼音楽で、バッハ自身が通奏低音パートを弾きながら指揮をとったと伝えられている作品で、失われた「マルコ受難曲」やレーオポルト侯のための葬送音楽へ転用されています。「打ち告げよ、待ち焦がれし時を」は偽作で、真の作曲者はメルヒオル・ホフマンと考えられているアルト独唱の葬儀用作品。最後に収録されている「消してください、いと高き主よ、私の罪を」(原曲: ペルゴレージの「スターバト・マーテル」)はBCJが2005年9月にセッション録音しながら、正規発売されぬままになっていた秘蔵音源。輸入盤・日本語帯・解説・対訳付。
