Deadwing is Porcupine Tree's latest release in 2005. For those who are familiar with their career, this album marked the latest music evolution. Started in early 90s with those psychadelic Pink Floyd's Ummagumma era, PT changed into a more spacey Dark Side of the Moon type with their The Sky Moves Sideways album. Starting with Signify album, PT changed into a more progrock album but still with those spacey touch here and there. 2003 marked their (IMHO) best album ever, In Absentia. Adding a heavier guitar sound to their spacey and progrock tunes made this album their best ever. In 2005, PT continued their recipe with Deadwing, which has many loveable and memorable tunes. This Japanese release came with a bonus disc containing previously releases. Some are edited versions. But the last song Halo is a lvie version. Previously unreleased. If you like PF's Animals/ Wish You Were Here era, you'll love Porcupine Tree.
