2014年4月から民営化し、新たなスタートを切った大阪市音楽団。2015年3月16日より「Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra(オオサカ・シオン・ウインド・オーケストラ)」と名称を変更し、日本屈指の吹奏楽団として培った90年の伝統を基盤に、さらなる飛躍へ向けて生まれ変わることを宣言しました。本CDでは2015年2月4日に大阪のフェスティバルホールで行われた、大阪市音楽団第110回定期演奏会をライヴ収録。当日の指揮は芸術顧問の秋山和慶、一般社団法人として歩み始めた1年間の集大成として「祭」をテーマに、日本をはじめ世界中の「祭」の音楽を取り上げました。「市音」から「Shion」へ・・・渾身のライヴがいまここに蘇ります。
