this classic came out in autumn 1981 and this was basically after the mod revival cooled off in the uk and the nwobhm was booming so for punks that where left over from the 77 to 79 era jumped all over the expolited when they hit the scene in 1981, this is part punk/ part hardcore, hardcore punk was really on the rise in the uk/europe and the us as well as australia by 1981, this album sure stands the test of time some 31 years after its release, very powerful, lots of screaming but at times gets to political for me, i loved this whole wave of bands out of this uk punk scene like gbh, anti pasti, discharge, the 4 skins and even king kurt, punks not dead was the exploiteds answer to mtv, heavy metal and new wave the way i remember this........... play loud, comes in a really nice papersleeve and sounds great!!!!!!!
